A boudoir photography session is not just about the clothes. You can really wear what makes you feel most confident. It's about embracing your own unique beauty! In addition to the empowerment, it's the artistry that I love to capture. Black and white boudoir photos and boudoir photo shoots for couples are my jam!
I wanted to write you while everything is fresh in my head. First, I cannot stop thinking about yesterday!
I mentioned yesterday how I didn't have the words, I'm still finding it hard to put it all into words. But what I do know is how I feel after the experience....What a service gift you provide. And really, although the photos are EVERYTHING, it's mostly the experience as a whole, your professional and calm manner, your coaching, your kind words, I just want to thank you for everything. Even though I've already seen my photos, I am SO excited to get the album, and the anticipation is just as exciting as if I hadn't seen them at all. I have a feeling I'll be staring at these photos on a regular basis. haha Also, is it weird that I'm already planning on coming to see you again to commemorate each decade? Thank you, thank you, thank you! Take care ~ Maya
A boudoir session really is a legit investment in yourself. In terms of what that means to you, I love that boudoir is whatever you want to make it to be.
A picture is a moment frozen. There are lots of experiences in the world we're not as easily able to hold on to, but pictures are interesting. They're like songs. Just a moment looking at your beautiful photos takes you right back there.
Especially for women, we give so much to others, taking care of others and it's just as essential to give something to yourself. I didn't really understand fully until I became a photographer the significance of capturing your life's journey. But also, with intention. Because having beautiful imagery of yourself is priceless.
There is nothing more empowering than being unapologetically yourself. In a society that tells us who to be, what to wear, and how to act — boudoir photography is the ultimate rebellion. We believe in celebrating our unique strength and beauty every day.
My mission is to reconnect my clients mind, body and soul through the art of portrait photography. Everyone should feel accepted regardless of size, shape, age, race, religion or sexual orientation.
Charrolet Jonee Portraiture is here to assist along the way to explore your most confident, elegant selves in empowerment photographs to applaud who we are in this very moment. Give yourself permission to love yourself completely today. You deserve nothing less. While I'm out of Cheyenne, Wyoming, I've also had clients from Colorado from places including Fort Collins, Boulder, and Denver! My goal is to help you find and fall in love with yourself again. Or maybe for the first time ever.
Every session in my journey as a boudoir photographer I've come across has been different in some sort of way and I'm all the way here for it! I strive to work with my clients creating a unique experience to who you are. No cookie cutter boudoir photos here! But I must warn you of the effects from a boudoir session in my studio...IJS. CAUTION: Side effects from your boudoir photography experience may include but are not limited to: increased self-confidence, falling madly deeply in love with yourself, likelihood of increased sassiness if not overall increase in general badassery, uncontrollable urge to celebrate yourself which in turn results in lifting up those around you. I want this experience and your photos to help you gain confidence, confidence that trickles into other areas of your life.
Remember, almost everyone suffers from self image issues at some point in life. You are not alone. People you look up to, people you think have it all, are perfect, yes, even those people often suffer from low self esteem or body issues.
Take that first step. That leap of faith.
Make that switch.
If you can overcome your fears and obstacles to do this. If you had more confidence. What would you do next?
Think about it.
Collections begin at $750. Inquire for more information and get the details! Easy payment plans are available.
Your intimate photography experience is about so much more than photos—it's about finding the version of yourself that you've been searching for. When you step inside this studio, you are in a safe space—a home if you will. And I'll be here as your hype girl enthusiast every step of the way as you chase down the best version of you during your boudoir photo shoot. While my studio is located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, I've still had clients from Fort Collins, Denver and beyond! I've done so many sessions in various locations I can definitely say it's not just about the "where" you are, but "how" you're being captured.
Clients are more than welcome to bring in items to make their session even more special. But if you feel like you'd like a lil more extravaganza...I might have something in my boudoir photography client closet for you! I have beautiful selections of items as robes and other fun additions in my lingerie closet as well!
At your Reveal Session from your boudoir photography or portrait photography experience, you will get to see all the final selected images and choose your favorites for whichever collection you wish to purchase. As a boudoir photographer, I work very hard to give the best possible photos that you will love from your empowerment photography session.
The process is pretty simple, once we've secured your session date, we'll meet to craft your day! I'll work everything else. If desired we'll figure the look(s) and any setups. Basically all you have to do is just show up and slay! This is why our beginning connections are important. It's my job to guide posing and lighting and what's the most flattering for you. I just want you to come to your session and feel amazing. In life there enough things we all have to manage and feel the need to check in on the progress and such. Your boudoir photo with me is at least one thing where you can just relax and know you're taken care. This is important to me.
You'll come in on the day of your session to have beautiful hair and makeup done for you. This is also a great time to just relax in your photography space. While I do mostly boudoir, I do understand that any photography can be a moment of distress for some when they're not accustomed to having their photo taken in a professional way. This is ok! You're not alone. But I have noticed that as my clients settle in more, the nerves begin to lessen. And I've found this additionally lessens as we go through the photo session. I'll guide you throughout your boudoir photography session, but welcome ideas as we go as well. Your boudoir photos should be reflective of you! This is important to me as your boudoir photographer.
Next you'll take a quick break and return to do a selection of images. We'll also determine which items you'd like from your selections for your products...meaning albums, metal prints, etc.
Basically your reveal session showcasing your beautiful boudoir photos is just a fancier way to say that we meet again where you can see your final images and products!
For your boudoir or portrait session, if you're looking for the cheapest, this is not it. If you want a personalized, luxury, transformative, self-love experience that will leave you feeling sexy and confident, you found it! When it comes to these types of sessions, there's so much more that goes on before and after the session. From organizing everything to be in place so you can show up and slay, to all the editing and coordination's of your products afterward. The session fee is $400 and client investment in digital images, prints, albums, and collections begins at $750. Pre-session payment plan options are offered, and after pay is accepted!
Your session will be a closed event. You and your photographer will be the only people at your session. Should you opt-in for our hair and makeup option then the hair and makeup artist will be there typically in the beginning of the session for your preparation to the shoot. Possibly even for a few images depending upon the event to make sure your session photos are coming out just the way you like!
As a parent myself I absolutely get this, plus trying to make the time to fully clean the house let alone a specific room these days? Have no fear, most sessions take place at my in-home studio here in Cheyenne...it's a super cool space with vintage vibes. I also have another location full of open space at our self-defense/BJJ sports academy. But I HAVE photographed in homes, AirBnbs, hotels, and event halls! With that, for on-location sessions (not at my studio) I do ask to see pictures of the space beforehand in order to check it over and ensure the conditions provide the best possible lighting for your session! I've been there before where that sun can get tricky and looks like it'll be around a while and then it's gone so fast!
On average boudoir sessions last anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on which session you choose. I know that’s a big range, but I like options!! Also remember this isn't just photos, it's also the preparation and if desired changing outfits. But generally speaking, it's about half and half...first half is makeup and hair then the rest is your session.
For boudoir, unless you are booking a couple’s session, we ask that you do not bring any friends or significant others to your session. I have found the ability to laser focus on capturing gorgeous images of you becomes interrupted and definitely lacking. I get it, a boudoir session can feel nerve-wrecking. But I promise you're in safe hands. I've lived in Cheyenne over 20 years, my family is here, I'm a military veteran currently serving in Wyoming (my husband is a veteran as well that recently retired) and we run a BJJ and kickboxing academy where we teach women's self-defense too. Additionally, I've found clients can inadvertently worry about what others are doing and thinking, are they comfortable, have enough to do, what to hear something else from the music selection, … it’s a whole thing. It's my job to maintain awareness of these things, but really my job is to make those I'm photographing the priority. Let’s just keep it to the two of us!
Take deep breaths, give yourself a pep talk, do the hokey pokey. But really, that nervousness and awkwardness will likely be there in the beginning. However, because I'm going to pose the hell out of you, the awkwardness you will feel won’t show in the camera. I'm there to instruct you the entire way, giving you specific directions on what to do with your body/hands/face/etc. And I'll show you images on the back of the camera as we go through the session so that you can see how NOT awkward you look. I got you!
After each session I get a facial made of diamond dust then gold leaf while drinking the purest water blessed by an ancient Aztec tribe. But really, I also have experience that's worth a premium and I'm constantly working to give you the best possible images and experience. To be honest, boudoir photography isn't like your typical session. There's a ton that goes on behind the scenes with planning and coordination's with my clients. I work really hard before, during and after your session to provide amazing products that you will cherish. And while I understand my sessions are not for everyone’s budget, I am dedicated to making sure you still get the best experience possible… so if you aren't able to book with me at this time it's all good. But shameless plug, I do take pre-payments!
Absolutely. I try to not default with sending online galleries, especially for boudoir clients, unless explicitly requested for viewing. Most of the handling that is done with your photos is in person. However, if you love them and want me to share them with future clients, I would love to do so. After you view the images, you have the option to sign a release to allow only the images that you approve to be shared and loved with future clients. There’s no obligation or pressure to do so, though. And if you don’t want them shared, they will always remain private.
