Your intimate photography experience is about so much more than photos—it's about finding the version of yourself that you've been searching for. When you step inside this studio, you are in a safe space—a home if you will. And I'll be here as your hype girl enthusiast every step of the way as you chase down the best version of you during your photo shoot. While my studio is located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, I've still had clients from Fort Collins, Denver and beyond! I've done so many sessions in various locations I can definitely say it's not just about the "where" you are, but "how" you're being captured.
So many details bring a photoshoot together including one of the most important elements, what you're wearing. Clients are more than welcome to bring in items to make their session even more special. But if you feel like you'd like a lil more extravaganza...I might have something in my client closet for you! I have beautiful selections of items as robes and other fun additions from sizes xs-3x.
At your Reveal Session from your photography experience, you will get to see all the final selected images and choose your favorites for whichever collection you wish to purchase. As your photographer, I work very hard to give the best possible photos that you'll love from your empowerment photography session!
Costs for other forms of photography not in the realm of portrait or boudoir are customizable. It really depends upon what you're looking to have captured. This is where we chat to figure what you're envisioning. And full payment is required before services are rendered.
Your portrait session will be a closed event. You and your photographer will mainly be the only people at your session. Should you opt-in for our hair and makeup option then the hair and makeup artist will be there typically in the beginning of the session for your preparation to the shoot. Possibly even for a few images depending upon the event to make sure your session photos are coming out just the way you like!
As a parent myself I absolutely get this, plus trying to make the time to fully clean the house let alone a specific room these days. Have no fear, most sessions take place at my in-home studio here in Cheyenne...it's a super cool space with vintage vibes. I also have another location full of open space at our self-defense/BJJ sports academy, Black Label BJJ. But I have photographed in homes, AirBnbs, hotels, and event halls! With that, for on-location sessions (not at my studio) I do ask to see pictures of the space beforehand in order to check it over and ensure the conditions provide the best possible lighting for your session! I've been there before where that sun can get tricky and looks like it'll be around a while and then it's gone so fast!
Portrait sessions really depend upon the goal we're working towards. They can be as quick as 30 minutes for an outdoor session with just a few images, but typically no longer than an hour. The timeframe can also increase with adding makeup. Don't let that deter you! I can for real say, that solid complimentary makeup really helps to make the difference in your photos.
So, you've found your tribe in awkward people so literally no judgements here. Take deep breaths, give yourself a pep talk, put on some Juvenile, whatever you need. But really, that nervousness and awkwardness will likely be there in the beginning. However, because I'm going to pose the hell out of you, the awkwardness you will feel won’t show in the camera. I'm there to instruct you the entire way, giving you specific directions on what to do with your body/hands/face/etc. And I'll show you images on the back of the camera as we go through the session so that you can see how NOT awkward you look. I got you! And believe it or not, especially with boudoir in between a lot of those photos are plenty of giggles.
After each session I get a facial made of diamond dust then gold leaf while drinking the purest water blessed by an ancient Aztec tribe. But really, I also have experience that's worth a premium and I'm constantly working to give you the best possible images. To be honest, portrait photography isn't like your typical session. There's a ton that goes on behind the scenes with planning and coordination's with my clients. I work really hard before, during and after your session to provide quality products that you will cherish. And while I understand my sessions are not for everyone’s budget, I am dedicated to making sure you still get the best experience possible… so if you aren't able to book with me at this time it's all good. But shameless plug, I do take pre-payments!
Absolutely. I try to not default with sending online galleries, especially for boudoir clients, unless explicitly requested for viewing. Most of the handling that is done with your photos is in person. However, if you love them and want me to share them with future clients, I would love to do so. After you view the images, you have the option to sign a release to allow only the images that you approve to be shared and loved with future clients. There’s no obligation or pressure to do so, though. And if you don’t want them shared, they will always remain private.
For boudoir, unless you are booking a couple’s session, we ask that you do not bring any friends or significant others to your session. I have found the ability to laser focus on capturing gorgeous images of you becomes interrupted and definitely lacking. I get it, a boudoir session can feel nerve-wrecking. But I promise you're in safe hands. I've lived in Cheyenne over 20 years, my family is here, I'm a military veteran currently serving in Wyoming (my husband is a retired veteran) and we run a BJJ and kickboxing academy, Black Label BJJ of Cheyenne, where we teach self-defense too. Additionally, I've found clients can inadvertently worry about what others are doing and thinking, are they comfortable, have enough to do, what to hear something else from the music selection … it’s a whole thing. It's my job to maintain awareness of these things, but really my job is to make those I'm photographing the priority. Let’s just keep it to the two of us!
For portraits, that same mostly applies. Having an extra person isn't an issue, but I've seen those same underlying things can creep up. Though I will say, they might end up as a my helper with creating beautiful images for you!
